Studio Attire

Please dress according to the guidelines for each class. Dancers are expected to have jewelry removed before entering the studio and are required to have their hair in a neat bun.

At The Bay Dance Company we believe that all students should feel comfortable in their natural skin tone. For that reason, we encourage dancers to wear tights and shoes that match their skin.

Acro

Dancers are required to wear a black leotard and skin-tone conversion tights.

Ballet

Dancers are required to wear a black leotard, ballet pink tights and ballet shoes.

Creative Dance

Dancers are required to wear a leotard of their choice(must be without an attached skirt), ballet pink tights, and ballet shoes.

Combination Classes

Dancers are required to wear a black leotard, skin-tone conversion tights, ballet shoes and black tap shoes(Ballet/Tap Combo), and skin-tone jazz shoes(Jazz/Acro Combo)

Hip-Hop

Dancers are required to wear a black leotard, black dance shorts or sweatpants, and skin-tone conversion tights. Shoes are not required for class. Sneakers worn for hiphop are not to be worn outside. Always have socks! The instructor may have students switch between bare feet socks and sneakers.

Jazz

Dancers are required to wear a black leotard, skin-tone conversion tights, and skin-tone jazz shoes.

Leaps and Turns

Dancers are required to wear a black leotard, skin-tone conversion tights, and skin-tone jazz shoes.

Lyrical / Contemporary / Modern

Dancers are required to wear a black leotard, skin-tone conversion tights, and skin-tone paws.

Tumbling / Tumbling Tots

Dancers are required to wear a black leotard or biketard and skin-tone conversion tights. Shoes are not required for class.

Male Dancers

Male dancers are required to wear a plain black t-shirt, black compression leggings, and black athletic shorts over leggings, and category specific shoes. Skin-tone tights are not required.
